Making risotto at home should not be intimidating by any means. In this class we will show you all you need to know in order to make the perfect risotto. We will provide you with Aborio rice from Northern Italy’s Piedmont region. A great short grain rice that will make for great texture and flavor. We’ll start by making one of our favorite Italian appetizers. Chef Jason will demonstrate the method of “mothering” a risotto with constant attention that will always result in a creamy yet perfectly textured rice dish. You will make a show stopping Porcini mushroom risotto using top quality dried that will become standard in your home cooking repertoire.
